Miami Open 2026 Withdrawals: Every Player Who Has Pulled Out
As the tennis world shifts its focus from the California desert to the hard courts of Florida, the entry list for the 2026 Miami Open is beginning to take shape. While most of the world’s elite are confirmed for the second leg of the Sunshine Double, several notable names have already officially withdrawn from the tournament at Hard Rock Stadium.
The tournament, set to begin main draw play on March 17, has seen eight players pull out across the ATP and WTA draws so far.
ATP Withdrawal List
The men’s side has seen five withdrawals, including two players who would have likely been seeded. Holger Rune (World No. 18) and Tallon Griekspoor (World No. 25) have both ruled themselves out after also missing Indian Wells earlier this month. They are joined by:
- Jaume Munar (World No. 36) – replaced by Alexander Shevchenko
- Lorenzo Sonego (World No. 61) – replaced by Miomir Kecmanovic
- Jerry Shang (Protected Ranking) – replaced by James Duckworth
WTA Withdrawal List
On the women’s side, the top 32 ranked players remain intact for now, promising a highly competitive field. However, three players have officially withdrawn:
- Lois Boisson (World No. 37) – The highest-ranked female withdrawal, Boisson has been sidelined since last September due to injury. She is replaced by Britain’s Katie Boulter.
- Oleksandra Oliynykova (World No. 73) – replaced by Oksana Selekhmeteva.
- Wang Yafan (Protected Ranking) – replaced by Anastasia Potapova.
The Djokovic Question
Despite a surprising round-of-16 exit at Indian Wells to Jack Draper, Novak Djokovic remains on the entry list for Miami. While the 24-time Grand Slam champion has been more selective with his Masters 1000 schedule in recent years, he is currently expected to compete.
Djokovic reached the final in Miami just last year, falling to Jakub Mensik, and he remains one of the tournament’s most successful icons, tied for the most titles in event history.
With the main draw getting underway in just a few days, fans are eagerly waiting to see if any further changes occur to the lineup before the first serves are struck in South Florida.
