What Is the Rafa Nadal Academy?

The Rafa Nadal Academy officially opened in Manacor on October 19, 2016. Roger Federer joined Nadal at the inauguration, helping mark the beginning of a project designed to pass on the experience, training principles and values developed throughout Nadal’s professional career.

Rafa Nadal School

One of the Academy’s main differences from a normal tennis camp is that long-term student-athletes can combine tennis and formal education on the same campus.

The Rafa Nadal School is an international school in Manacor. The Annual Tennis & School pathway combines daily tennis development with English-language academic study, helping young players continue their education while following a demanding training schedule.

The wider school serves different age groups. Its primary curriculum draws on the English National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage together with elements of the Spanish curriculum, while the secondary program uses international and U.S.-aligned academic standards.

Is Rafa Nadal Academy Worth It?

Whether the Academy is worth the cost depends on what you expect from the experience. Its main advantage is the ability to combine tennis with many of the services normally associated with a high-performance environment in one location.

Why Players May Choose It

  • Large hard-court and clay-court training complex
  • Junior, competitive and adult pathways
  • Physical, mental and technical development
  • On-campus international education
  • Boarding options
  • Medical and recovery facilities
  • International training environment

Things to Consider
