Felix Auger-Aliassime at the 2025 Nitto ATP Finals
The field for the 2025 Nitto ATP Finals is set, and after a thrilling finish to the season, Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime has secured his spot among the elite eight singles players. The 25-year-old is set to compete in the season-ending championship for the second time, following his debut in 2022.
Qualification Confirmed After Dramatic Finish
Auger-Aliassime’s qualification was confirmed under dramatic circumstances at the very end of the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin. His run to the final of the Rolex Paris Masters, the last ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, propelled him into the qualifying positions.
His spot was ultimately cemented when Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti, the only player who could overtake him, fell one match short of the required points by losing to Novak Djokovic in the final of the Hellenic Championship in Athens. This result secured the final qualification place for the Canadian, who has enjoyed a resurgent 2025 season, lifting three trophies in Adelaide, Montpellier, and Brussels, and reaching his second major semi-final at the US Open.
Campaign Starts Against Home Favourite Sinner
As the eighth seed, Auger-Aliassime has been drawn into the Bjorn Borg Group, alongside defending champion Jannik Sinner (2), two-time event winner Alexander Zverev (3), and Ben Shelton (5).
The Canadian will launch his campaign on Monday night (Turin time) at the Inalpi Arena. His opening match will be a tough test against local hero and second seed, Jannik Sinner, scheduled for Not Before 8:30 PM. The encounter is a quick rematch of their recent Rolex Paris Masters final, which Sinner won in straight sets.
Auger-Aliassime will be eager to reverse that result and begin his quest for the year-end title with a significant group stage victory.
