2026 Qatar ExxonMobil Open Results: Alcaraz and Heliövaara/Patten Triumphant

DOHA, Qatar — World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz continued his flawless start to the 2026 season on Saturday night, dismantling French rising star Arthur Fils 6–2, 6–1 to capture his first Qatar ExxonMobil Open title.
The victory at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex marks Alcaraz’s 26th ATP Tour-level title and extends his winning streak to 12 matches following his historic “Career Grand Slam” completion at the Australian Open earlier this month.
Alcaraz’s Masterclass in Doha
Entering the final as the heavy favorite, the 22-year-old Spaniard showcased the gap between himself and the rest of the field. Alcaraz needed just 50 minutes to secure the victory, breaking Fils’ serve in the very first game and never looking back.
- First Set: Alcaraz dominated behind his first serve, winning nearly 90% of those points. He closed the set 6–2 in under half an hour.
- Second Set: Frustration boiled over for Fils, who smashed his racket after falling behind 3–0. Despite a late hold from the Frenchman, Alcaraz remained clinical, sealing the match with a signature forehand winner.
“I came this year hungry for more,” Alcaraz said during the trophy ceremony. “After every tournament, we just have to set new goals. I’m playing great tennis and this trophy means a lot to me.”
Alcaraz’s path to the final included a dramatic semifinal victory over defending champion Andrey Rublev, whom he defeated 7–6(3), 6–4.
Doubles: Heliövaara and Patten Topple Top Seeds
In the doubles draw, the British-Finnish duo of Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten secured the championship with a straight-sets victory over the defending champions.
The pair defeated Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool 6–3, 6–3 to lift the trophy. Their victory prevented an all-British repeat for Cash and Glasspool, who had won the 2025 edition of the tournament.
