Playing in just her eighth WTA main draw, Quevedo defeated Podoroska 4–6, 6–4, 6–2 in two hours and eight minutes to complete the biggest week of her young career.
Podoroska made the stronger start in the final, opening a 3–0 lead before taking the first set 6–4. Quevedo responded in the second, recovering from an early break deficit and eventually breaking again late in the set to force a deciding third.
