Spain Sweep Chile to Claim the Final Bologna Ticket
Spain completed the Final 8 field in emphatic fashion, defeating Chile 4-0 in Santiago despite travelling without several of their biggest names.

Great Britain Complete 4-0 Sweep of Ecuador
Great Britain enjoyed one of the most straightforward qualifying weekends, finishing with a 4-0 victory over Ecuador at the Copper Box Arena in London.
Toby Samuel recovered from losing the opening set to beat Andres Andrade 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, while Arthur Fery defeated Alvaro Guillen Meza 7-5, 6-0, giving Leon Smith’s team a commanding 2-0 lead after the opening day.

Canada advanced with a 3-1 victory over France in Quebec City, led by Felix Auger-Aliassime and an important opening win from Liam Draxl.
Draxl stunned Arthur Rinderknech 6-2, 7-5, before Auger-Aliassime defeated Quentin Halys in three sets to establish a 2-0 Canadian advantage.
France stayed alive when Benjamin Bonzi and Pierre-Hugues Herbert defeated Auger-Aliassime and Duncan Chan 7-6, 6-3 in the doubles.
Auger-Aliassime quickly returned to the court for the reverse singles and had to come from behind against Rinderknech. The Canadian eventually prevailed 4-6, 7-6, 6-4, securing his country’s third point and a place in Bologna.
Canada, the 2022 Davis Cup champion, will now have another opportunity to challenge for the trophy.
Korea Republic Make History Against India
One of the biggest stories of the round came from Seoul, where Korea Republic defeated India 3-1 to reach the Davis Cup quarter-finals for the first time. The official Davis Cup coverage described it as a historic breakthrough for the Korean team.
Soonwoo Kwon recovered from a set down to defeat Dhakshineswar Suresh 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the opening match.
