LONDON – The grass-court season is set for a star-studded arrival at The Queen’s Club this June, as officials confirmed a powerhouse entry list for the 2026 HSBC Championships on Tuesday, May 12.

Marking the second year of elite women’s tennis returning to the iconic West London venue, the WTA 500 event features eight of the world’s top 20 players. The tournament, which runs from 8 June, promises a high-stakes preview of the grass-court swing leading up to Wimbledon.

Top Seeds and Rising Stars

Leading the charge is World No. 5 Jessica Pegula, who arrives as the top seed. She is joined by American compatriot Amanda Anisimova (World No. 6), who returns to Queen’s with a point to prove after her sensational 2025 run, where she finished as runner-up at both the HSBC Championships and Wimbledon.

The youth movement in women’s tennis is well-represented by 19-year-old Canadian sensation Victoria Mboko. Currently ranked No. 9 in the world, Mboko leads a “chasing pack” that includes:

  • Marta Kostyuk: The newly crowned Madrid Open champion.
  • Belinda Bencic: The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Gold medallist.
  • Iva Jovic: The American teenager making waves at World No. 17.

British Hopes and Returning Rivals

British No. 1 Emma Raducanu is confirmed to return to home soil. Following a quarter-final finish last year, Raducanu will look to harness the home crowd’s energy as she builds momentum for the summer. She may face a rematch with China’s Qinwen Zheng, the player who ended her run at Queen’s last summer, who is also confirmed for the 2026 draw.

Other notable entries include the versatile Leylah Fernandez, Linda Noskova, and Diana Shnaider, ensuring a deep field where every round will feel like a final.

Building on a Fairytale Legacy

Last year’s tournament was a historic milestone, marking the first women’s event at The Queen’s Club since 1973. It concluded with a “fairytale” victory for Germany’s Tatjana Maria, who became the oldest WTA 500 champion in history after a grueling run from the qualifying rounds.

Tournament Director Laura Robson expressed her excitement for the upcoming edition:

“After such a memorable return to the Queen’s Club for women’s tennis last summer, we can’t wait for what is sure to be another spectacular show this year. Fans are in for a treat with the mixture of young, exciting breakthrough stars and some of the very top players in the world.”
