LONDON — Tennis fans in the capital won’t need a ticket to Center Court to catch the magic of SW19 this summer. The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), in partnership with Ocean Outdoor, has announced the return of The Wimbledon Experience at Battersea Power Station, completely reimagined for 2026 as an authentic, immersive fan village.
Opening on Monday, 29 June, the free-admission event will run daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM throughout the Wimbledon Fortnight, concluding on Sunday, 12 July.
An Authentic Taste of The Championships
For the first time, the activation has been scaled up into a dedicated fan village designed to painstakingly recreate the look and feel of the historic tournament. Visitors will be greeted by Wimbledon’s signature floral displays and live scoreboards. To complete the experience, traditional strawberries and cream—a staple of the tournament for nearly 150 years—will be readily available.
Matches will be broadcast live via the BBC on a massive 15-square-meter outdoor screen situated in Power Station Park, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station and the River Thames.
“As we welcome what we anticipate will be another unforgettable Championships, we’re excited to bring the magic of Wimbledon to thousands of fans at the iconic location of Battersea Power Station,” said Brendan Dinen, Head of Marketing at the AELTC.
Premium Partnerships and Merchandise
The fan village boasts several high-profile partnerships to elevate the match-day atmosphere. Headline partner American Express will be on-site offering guests the chance to win coveted tickets to the Wimbledon finals weekend, alongside giveaways of limited-edition charms.
For those looking to refresh between sets, Pimm’s will be serving its classic summer drinks from a vintage bus, and an official retail pop-up will offer authentic Championships merchandise for purchase.
“This year’s collaboration gives families and tennis lovers of all ages a real taste of The Championships against the backdrop of one of London’s most scenic destinations,” added Rachel Sutton, Ocean Outdoor’s Director of Brand Partnerships.
A Global Celebration
The London fan village is part of a broader, international footprint for the Grand Slam. This year’s event is twinned with ‘The Wimbledon Court’ in New York City’s Central Park, which will give fans in Manhattan a taste of the grass-court action from 26 to 29 June.
At home, organizers expect the expansion to draw massive crowds, cementing the power station as a premier summer destination. Natalie Caley, Senior Commercialisation Manager at Battersea Power Station Development Company, noted that the team has worked to make the event “even bigger for 2026,” creating “the ultimate summer’s day out.”
