Official Wimbledon 2026 Men’s Singles Entry List & Live Seed Status
The grass-court tennis season is finally here. The All England Lawn Tennis Club has released the official entry list for the 2026 Wimbledon Men’s Singles tournament. The matches began on June 29, and fans around the world are excited to see who will win the famous trophy this year.
The tournament organizers locked the rankings for this entry list on May 18, 2026. The list includes the top male tennis players in the world, featuring past champions alongside talented younger stars. However, a major piece of news has shaken up the event: one of the world’s best players is missing the tournament due to an injury.
Sinner and Zverev Lead the Entry List
Jannik Sinner takes the top spot on the entry list as the World No. 1 and the defending champion. Sinner won the Wimbledon title last year, proving that his powerful, flat shots are perfect for grass courts. He also recently won a major trophy in Rome, giving him a lot of confidence as he starts his grass-court season. Every player in the draw will be trying to stop him from winning his second consecutive Wimbledon title.

Huge News: Carlos Alcaraz Withdraws
The biggest story from the official document is disappointing news for tennis fans. Two-time Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz has officially pulled out of the 2026 tournament.
According to the tournament’s official withdrawal list, Alcaraz has an ongoing wrist injury that keeps him from competing. This is a huge loss for the event, as Alcaraz is widely known as one of the most exciting players to watch on grass. Because he had to withdraw, Great Britain’s Jan Choinski moves up from the alternate list to take his place in the main draw.
France’s Arthur Cazaux also had to withdraw due to his own health issues. His absence allowed Japan’s Sho Shimabukuro to move up into the main draw.
Young Stars to Watch
A fresh group of young talent is ready to make an impact at Wimbledon this year. American star Ben Shelton is high on the list at No. 5 after making a great run to the quarterfinals last year. His massive serve is a dangerous weapon on this surface.
Fans should also keep an eye on the teenage talents who earned direct entry into the tournament, including Spain’s Rafael Jódar (No. 28) and Brazil’s João Fonseca (No. 29).
